Next Gen Super Fight Debate Drill:

Each contestant draws 3 character cards and 3 attribute cards. They choose one of each to create their super hero! For the fight we'll call contestant 1 AFF, and contestant 2 NEG and they will debate on the "Resolved: I will win if we got into a fight on an island."
The format will be
AFF Constructive 1 minute 30 seconds
NEG cross examines AFF 1 minute
NEG Constructive 2 minutes
AFF cross examines NEG 1 minute
AFF Rebuttal 1 minute
NEG Rebuttal 1 minute
2 AFF Rebuttal (summary) 30 seconds.

Families: Practice this, especially using a timer to practice timing yourself.
Sample Characters: Ghandi, swarm of killer bees, girl scout, robot, kindergarten class, 8 mothers, Stephen Hawking, Crocodile Hunter, Velociraptor, Spongebob, Mountain Lion
Sample Attributes: 10 foot tall, can fly, shoots lightening, throws knives, spits marshmallows, can yell really loud, can become invisible, can jump 20 feet.
Feel free to be creative by making up your own characters and attributes and even your own situations.....maybe instead of winning a fight you could make arguments of who would make a better soldier or better politician or who would win a game of chess??
